This is an Informal Request For Discussion (IRFD) for the creation of
the worldwide unmoderated newsgroup misc.health.alternative.sceptics.
This is Not A Call for Votes (NACFV); you cannot vote at this time.

RATIONALE: misc.health.alternative.sceptics
There are currently no misc.health.alternative groups that discuss the topic
from a sceptics point of view or the ability to discuss sceptics from an
alternative point of view. The misc.health.alternative newsgroup is
over run by self appointed guardians of the established closed mind
medical establishment commonly known as sceptics or [censored] posting
in a newsgroup not designed for their needs.
Having a misc.health.alternative.sceptics newsgroup will enable alternative
health aficionados a forum for debunking main stream health without
compromising the misc.health.alternative newsgroup with [censored] name
calling word fights and dredging up old posts and research data from
the last century.
Currently there is no specific group to discuss
misc.health.alternative.sceptics
issues. This discourages some people from using Usenet as a medium for
discussion of this area, causes others to cross/multi-post throughout
various groups
meant for Alternative and/or main stream health in general, and means that
newcomers have no obvious place to start a bun fight.
CHARTER: misc.health.alternative.sceptics
The purpose of this newsgroup shall be to establish and maintain a
forum for the open discussion of issues related to sceptics of
alternative health issues.
Topics may include but are not limited to matters such as the
following:
- How to prove that cyanide is NOT a poison without clinical trials
- Places to visit that have vested interests in main stream medicine
- Things to do whilst waiting for Peter Bowditch to make another Post
- Group Sceptic Tours to New Zealand (sheep herding)
It is asked to keep posts somewhat short and to the point, and to be civil

and genetic engineering businesses, but should be limited to one per
month per product.
