I`m thinking of going to ireland either later this year or sometime next, but want to go over on my motorbike so I can ride as well as walk. Any ideas where I might be able to leave the bike whilst I`m out walking? I mean to say, are the farmers ok with this sort of thing or would I need to leave it on a street etc?
Stab in the dark I guess but worth a try if anyone knows an answer

Why not in a lay by or car park, the same as a car? -- Mike Reid If god wanted us to be vegetarians he wouldn't have made animals out of meat. I`m not keen on that idea, bikes are much easier to steel than cars. just pick them up and in the back of a pickup is much easier than towing a car.

Well hillbashing in Ireland, especially the west is your first security step.. Much safer than say North Wales..(Watch the Wicklows though , very quiet, but a Big City on their northern slopes)
Many ascents start at farms - you often ask permission to park a car (parkable verges are a luxury in some parts) - same for the bike and it will be safe...
