OK, I just got back into riding the Tandem on a Sunday morning with my wife around the neighborhood loop. Looking down at the front wheel, the shape of the tire is more elliptical than circular with a raised center. These are 700x30c and inflate to 100psi but are noisy when they roll and scuff when turning. Anyone else had experience with these tires? I don't like them but it may take a while before they wear out.

Yeah, they suck. It's a shame, too, since they are pretty nicely made from a materials and workmanship standpoint. In my estimation they address the center tread wear issue common to tandems at the expense of traction and handling qualities.
Panaracer Pasela 700x32s are similar tires, but less expensive, and without the weird tread shape problem.
