  1. Introducing -

    The brand new, MidwestBikeRides.com!!!

This site has been created to help ride coordinators list their events
    for free!

Riders will be able to simply click on the state that interests them,
where they will be able to find rides.

Please check out the site - www.MidwestBikeRides.com.

At the site, you'll be able to enter your info, as well as see other
ride related info (with more pending for the future).

I'm currently looking for info for the 2006 season. Please submit your
data when your info is determined for next year.

This sounds pretty similar to the Midwest Bicycle Rides pages Mike Bentley
has been doing for several years:
    http://www.mikebentley.com/bike/mwrides.htm
Is there anything special that distinguishes your pages?

  3. Sure. I have tips listed for riders, from a ride-coordinator's point
of view, and will shortly be listing tips for coordinators, from other
coordinators, and from riders points of view.
I'll also host, and create, a simple page for those events that do not
    have their own hosting.

I was just looking for info like this. Nice URL, and nice map, but it
does appear that other guy has already implemented something similar.

I've bookmarked them both. May the best site win.

Ideally, I think, someone wouldl just create a site for the whole US and
allow the people with the data to actually enter it....

  5. I thought about doing the whole US, but I just won't have time for it.
I wanted to concentrate one the midwest only. Since I live here, I
already am familiar with many events and event coordinators.

I'm open to suggestions for other items to add to the site, but, I
really wanted to keep is simple, and do just this, and not a lot of
    other stuff.
