  1. I got my first decent road bike this year from a "bicycle swap" which is where people from the town bring their bike to one location and sell it.

    I ended up buying a vintage specialized sirrus. I've rode it for a few months and what just happened not long ago was the frame broke. I was riding accross a busy road fast , then after I got past it with the last hard down-pedal the "bottom tube" near where it connects with the front fork/headset tube snapped. So now I am looking for another road bike.

    I would like to buy a newer model of any okay brand name that is not expensive. About 100-400 dollars would be fine. I will never get an old bike again cause I dont want to snap another frame.
    This bike was about 54-58cm FRAME.

    I found 2 bikes that interest me now and I would like to get someone's opinion On which one I should buy. They both are full stock I am pretty sure of.

    #1:: "2003" - KHS Flite300, 58cm-- $300.00

    #2:: "2001" - Giant OCR3, 55.5cm-- $300.00

    I like the look of the Standard frames, but I am okay with a Good compact frame.

    I would let you know if I see any other bikes I want. Just lemme know what you think about these. I like road bikes and its a typical thing I do a lot.
    If anyone else can help me find a bike drop a line or link. 😉

    Thanks much- james

  2. Road test the bike first and see how it feels. Can't really say which bike is best for you - you alone can be the judge of that. Be aware that the "best" bike is partly subjective, but has a lot to do with how the bike fits you. Both bikes are good though...
