The NZ Senior title has been won in much quicker times in more difficult conditions and on many on NZs poorly maintained roads. What's your point?

The US friend was right. 61 minutes for 12th place is slow.
the return leg was both up hill and into a head wind BTW u23 rider pete latham used a 95.6 fixed gear, gordy had the 11 going
