Hi all
A few years ago I saw a TV programme which described a new type of bike saddle, designed to support the 2 cheeks of the rider's rear.
This was a radical idea, and is based on practicality and comfort, rather than the conventional design sticking forward in between one's groin, which the show said was originally developed from the idea of a horse's saddle rather than thinking about what the cyclist would need.
It's particularly comfortable for both men and ladies. Whereas the usual saddle design presses or rubs uncomfortably against parts that are sensitive  , this new design supports the backside, like a chair does, and leaves the more sensitive areas untouched. It attaches onto the bike in the same way as the usual saddle.
From memory, I think they went on to say that the inventor had been bullied out of the marketplace by vested-interest firms and could not get to manufacture the new saddle.
Does anyone know any more about this? Ideally, where can I get one?
Thanks in advance 🙂
