I have made a discovery in the field of cognitive enhancement, as well
as the improvement of life in general.
For quite some time, I have been researching ways to better myself,
reading thousands of scientific journal articles, going through the
patent office, surfing the net looking for answers. I have spend about
sixteen years taking nootropics and using various "mind machines",
practicing mental disciplines, et cetera. I was able to increase my
intellect, but I still wasn't very happy, and I didn't feel well most
of the time.
I happened on information concerning the effects of certain
wavelengths of infrared light on living tissue. NASA is developing
this very thing for quick healing of astronauts in outer space.
Apparently, about thirty years ago, they started using lasers in
surgery to cut tissue. It was noticed that the wounds made so healed
much faster than those made by scalpels. Someone got the idea to try
it at lower power levels, and the effects on a cellular level were
studied. IR light was demonstrated to upregulate four genes involved
in tissue regeneration, increase ATP (adenosine triphosphate)
synthesis, a marker of new cell growth and cell health, I have also
read that RNA and DNA synthesis is increased (Glatzky, the inventor of
the nootropic AIT-082, had a previous patent in which he proposed RNA
was the substrate of memory). On the multicellular level, IR releases
nitric oxide from the blood, causing vasodilation, increasing blood
flow to wherever it is applied, also promoting angiogenesis.
So, it seemed common sense to me to try it directly over the brain.
The results were more than I ever expected. It has improved me in
every way, bar none. I now have enhanced cognitive abilities, memory
recall, problem solving ability, emotional intelligence, muscle
reflexes, hand-eye coordination, creative thinking, sexual
performance, but the real treat for me is that I enjoy everything much
more. I have rediscovered life.
I have tried arrays of small LEDs, those didn't seem to do what I
wanted (this also is not the same as a FIR sauna or heat lamp),
however, I experimented with
a particular large single LED with three chips in one package, applied
between the eyebrows, and over the inion, a small bony bump at the
back and base of the skull, for two minutes per site on most days for
two months. When the effects started to occur, I did not immediately
ascribe it to infrared, it seemed too remarkable. I thought it must
have been something else. But I have come to learn it was and is the
infrared that has given me a new life. A new life indeed. I call it
the Euon, "Eu" meaning "good or normal" (as in "euphoria"😉, and "on"
from the word "photon".
I have a yahoo group on the subject:
http://www.groups.yahoo.com/group/magnetikon
If you're interested in nootropics, I have another group, the message
archives span a great many subjects, ranging from mind machines to
mental disciplines to alternative health, in the files and links
sections you will find many abridged patents on cognitive enhancement,
etc.

Another relevant group, not owned by me, is
http://www.groups.yahoo.com/group/mind-l
The focus there is mainly mind machines.
Enjoy!
