Inflate to what psi?

  1. I have a new road bike that came with 700x25c tires and they're stamped
    with "inflate to 100 psi". Now, does this mean "make sure you get at
    least 100 psi to avoid pinch flats" or does it mean "100 psi is the
    MAX!!"

    I'm guessing it's the min. I've been pumping up to 110 or so. What's
    normal for this size tire? Does the wheel matter? It's got Bontrager
    select wheels and tires.

    Stick to 100psi. It's not the physical maximum but it's the safe max.

  4. Max psi that's totally safe. I find 100psi in 25mm tires to be perfect.
    An more and the handling gets glassy, any less and I pinch flat. If you
    weigh under 170# you could probably run 90psi for more comfort.
