I recall reading somewhere that you shouldn't do interval training more than once or twice a week. I'm not sure if this is accurate, and I would assume it depends on the person's fitness/goals, etc.
I dont' get a chance to ride more than 3-4 times a week over the winter and I usually only have 2x30 mins and 2x60 mins times available. I either watch old TDF videos or spinverals (all of these have intervals). Would it be fine to follow the spinervals a couple of times a week (up to 3 some times)? I would like to maximize my time for fat burn / fitness.
Frechyge offers a TSS calculator at the bottom of this page http://www.cyclingforums.com/t-314849-15-76.html that works good but you need a way to measure the intensity of your intervals in watts I bought a Kurt Kinetic Road Machine with the speed /power computer. $324
Thanks. I can't measure watts but I get the idea. Based on the example he gave (i.e. 2x20 or 3x20) I'm far below this when I do intervals so I know that I can go harder without worry.
