Sure, these aren't really apples to apples since price is a huge difference, but any thoughts. I ride outside as much as possible even down to 40 degrees, but with the time change that is mostly limited to the weekends. I'd like to grab a ride or two during the week and am thinking about indoor trainer options. Thanks!

I live in Minnesota where the temperature falls well below zero during the winter on a somewhat regular basis and we get a lot of snow. For this reason I do a LOT of my training indoors on the trainer during the winter months.
I've worn out a Blackburn magnetic trainer and recently replaced it with a Cycle-Ops fluid trainer. For my two cents worth, I'd definitely say go with a fluid trainer!
The fluid trainer is much quieter, smoother and has more consitant resistance than my old magnetic trainer. I'd never buy another magnetic trainer after trying the fluid unit.
