  1. I began to ride bicycle seven or eight years ago as a serious and daily regimen. Most people don't have time...but I made time. Every day, rain or shine, cold or warm I would be on the road at first light. I rode twenty to thirty miles per day and every so often I'd go on multi-day road trips.

When I first announced my program to my wife...she kind of smirked...'It won't last'. Hummmm...I remembered that and it kind of became my motivation to get out of that warm bed into the cold weather. Now I'm lean and mentally tough and my wife...well, she has a different point of view.

I'm 63 and in the best physical shape since I played football in high school. As I look about in Silicon Valley I sometime scan the mountains and note that I have traversell all. It's a great feeling. For this year I plan to ride to all the California Missions and explore the Truckee/Tahoe area...that is combine the trip with a ride up on the Califoria Zephyr.

I also keep a travel blog, www.thecyclingtuscan.com with my cycling adventrues in California and in Tuscany.

    Keep on pedaling!
