Am currently trying to get the GP to refer my husband 62 for
full heart tests/stress tests as it would seem theres a
problem but WHAT is another question .
ECG/EKG have been done but are normal stehoscope listening
to heart normal BP 120/80 Benign Essential tremor and
Parkinsons etc have been excluded
cholesterol is low .......always eats low fat high fruit and
veg and salad diet with no sugar , cakes, etc
He is hypothyroid as a result of Hashimotos Disease having
originally had Graves for 10 yrs then thyroidectomy and it
was 8 years before the idiots recognised he was into
myxodeama madness because his TSH was "normal "
Currently on Armour Thyroid for last 2 months and feeling
less tired etc .........had been on Synthyroid for 12 years
going nowhere felt totally tired and exhausted despite all
blood tests being " perfect "
and on T3 alone for 2 yrs a little better hypothyroid
symptom wise but not much
Even if he takes no Thyroid meds at all the same symptoms
occur on any form of exertion ( so its not hyperthyroid
tremor although it could easily be mistaken for this )
Any exertion like pushing the lawnmower etc and he gets
tremor of the hands plus is puffed out and
exhausted.......not aware of any palpitations though
All male members of his family have dropped dead from heart
attacks age 67 hence we get concerned that he has heart
problems not yet diagnosed
Any ideas please
