i took my cell phone (w/ camera) along on my sunday ride & snapped some photos. turned out ok .. esp. considering that the camera just isn't that great. it's r/t from boise to idaho city (about 42 miles one way) and one of my favourite 1 day rides (another is up 55). sadly it just misses out on some of the better scenery from idaho city to lowman but 160 miles felt like a bit much yesterday.

Nice pictures -- how hot was it?
wow, it's testimony to how much i've acclimated to the weather here that i had to look that up. it was in the mid 90s in the treasure valley and about the same on the ride (21 doesn't gain significant altitude until after idaho city). i went through a fair bit of water, too. there's a water stop right before the dam (13 miles in) and at a bar about 27 miles from boise and i drank a pitcher of water with my huckleberry pie & veggie burger in idaho city.
plus you get to dunk into the creek whenever you get too hot. -- david reuteler [email hidden]
