I've just an off month. The fire just freaked me out. Never have I
been so panicked and *st00pid* at the same time. Steven is just like,
well call the fire department or use an extinguisher. Had I done the
*right* thing I'm thinking the house might have gone. At this point, I
don't care. I was really dumb. I need some soup. I have stock in the
    freezer.

How badly hurt are you? You're still typing.

Actually this morning it is not as bad. I think the big deal is my pride
more than anything. Never have I ever put myself in this type of
situation. To answer your question, my fingertips on to fingers of my
left hand are badly hurt. It hurts to drive and type but I've been
bandaged up by Steven. I can't ride my horse. At this point this morning
I think it is feeling much better. The first couple of days were the
worst of it. My cats sense I've been ill. They have taken it upon
themselves to be my caretakers 😉 The dog hatches my head. She has always
done that. Enough of my whine.

I made some turkey and noodles last night. It made me feel better.

I am not even sure I have that on cable. FoodTV is there. This will be my
last post. Not that anyone cares. My left hand is so sore. I am afraid

    <deadpan look> Come'on Michael.. what's with the drama? You're a grown
    man.. have some pride.
I don't think you're missing much not watching FoodTV. Although it is
fun to watch Sandra Lee do another train wreck.

I am just whining. My pride has been bruised 😉 I gotta say watching
Sandra Lee just cracks me up. Have you ever dealt with a fire situation?
[censored]. it was almost scarier than the nasty weather we get here sometimes.
My whole gig is pride. I really screwed up and I hate it. I guess
realizing one is not perfect creeps one out initially. I could have lost
this house and had a horrible ordeal with my animals. It scared me. I'm
seldom afraid of much. In a few days I'll be over it and hopefully wiser.
Worst part is the flu on top of everything else. Weird thing is, I wanted
to get the animals into the car but the garage was just too smokey. I
felt pretty helpless. Surely this isn't male pride showing itself to
    me... Oh Gawd///thud

Now, speaking of FoodTV, do you ever watch it? Sandra Lee is total
entertainment to me. Seriously... Other than Tammy Faye and Jim Bakker
have been more amusing to me. I'm tired of whining. Ya'll have put up
with me for years. It is time to stop.

Hey, you haven't cornered the market on dumb. Hubby is the guy who
grabbed a garden hose to put out an electrical fire in the kitchen.
Luckily the hose wasn't long enough to go around the corner and he
didn't burn the house down after all.

Seriously, did he not feel really stupid afterwards? I actually went to the
stables today. I can not believe it. I took home a pizza. My Ramsey cat is
still fussing on me. I wanted to do some stew meat thingy but was not up
for it. I think I will cook it up tomorrow. I don't think it will be a big
deal. It will be a tomato stew thing. It just sounds good. I'm not huge on
    ketchup.

While working on my car one day a wrench fell outa my shirt pocket...one
end landed on the starter selinoid terminal, the other cut thru the metal
break line...which due to it being cutting (like by a electrical welding
torch) caused the break fluid to ignite. While blowing on the flames
(like it was a birthday cake covered with candles) I was interposing word
with puffs of air "...get... the hose...!". To which the wife queried
"which hose?". To which I replied "the...one..with...water...in it!"

Those were fun days... needless to say I didn't get blowed up and I
learned all about bending meltal break lines that week end.

I've done that too. I have a flower pot out on the porch.
Sometimes it gets kinda full, and if it doesn't rain for a few
days/weeks, everything inside is nice and crispy.

It's caught on fire twice, but I was never around to notice it.
I just notice that everything inside has turned to dust.
