  1. Ok so I have a Kona Dew Deluxe and I want a second set of wheels for dirt rides. I will leave my current 700c wheels for road and want to get a cheapie (~$200) second set of wheels but I have a few questions:

    1) Can I get MTB 26" wheels or only 700c? Anything special to look for in MTB wheels?
    2) Do I have 6 Bolt or Center Lock disk brakes?
    3) Can I use the current MTB cog, that is on the current 700c wheels, on the new wheels and install a road cog on the new wheels?
    4) If I get a 9-speed shimano road cog for the new wheels, will I be able to switch wheelsets with any adjustments?

Thanks a lot for the help.

  2. A pair of 700c Hybrid or Trekking wheels with appropriate Shimano hubs will do nicely, you can fit whatever **Shimano cassette you like, MTB or road, to either wheelset. Some minor cable adjustment is normal when swaping wheelsets.

http://www.velocityusa.com/ The Dyad rins are nice, they (Velocity) will lace into whatever hubs you require.

Your bike? http://www.konabikes.co.uk/2k5bikes/2k5_dew_deluxe.php **This is only an 8 speed.

  3. oops sorry yeah 8 speed
