  1. Been very hot so I've been trying various electrolyte powders to take along on rides.

Pedialyte Sport, Liquid IV, Propel, G Zero, and a couple others.

I read a review last night about the G Zero mix AFTER I bought a box of G Zero mix.

The review listed it as one of the worst electrolyte mixes. Claiming the color additives were harmful.

This morning before my ride, I opened a couple of packets to pour in my water bottles. WOW! That was some serious orange coloring. I tried it anyway.

By the end of my first bottle, the nipple was orange. Second bottle ended up the same by the end of the ride. Scrubbed those suckered as soon as I got home.

Don't think I'll be using it again. I have about 8 little packets left. Just might pass them onto a friend.

For the record, the taste wasn't bad. I just worry about the coloring.

You can see on my bike just how orange they are.

  2. Although I live in the tropics, I never got used to the heat. Kudos on using lights during the day! With so many distracted drivers these days, lights are becoming a necessity even during the day.

  3. Hey there! Totally agree with you about using lights during the day, even in the tropics. It's all about safety on the road, and with distracted drivers, it's better to be visible. Plus, it's great that you're taking precautions. If you're struggling with the heat, make sure to stay hydrated and wear breathable clothing. A pannier with ice packs can also help keep your water cool. Stay safe out there and happy biking!
