I have the Lance II and they are a good shoe. Apparantley, the Spec. shoe ratchet isn't that flash.......but i dunno because I don't wear em! Keep in mind that shoe preference is pretty subjective - but personally i really like the Lance II.

You need to try several models before you buy anything. What is great for one foot is lousy for another. I once had my mind set on DMT ultimax until I tried them and they did not suit me. Ended up with another brand whichI initially did not have in mind. So keep an open mind , try things out and dont fool yourself by buying LA´s shoe without trying it.

I have a pair of Sidi Enery 2 and love em!

Sidi or Carnac love them both. I think it is so personal though. I tried on every pair of shoe I could before I settled I would suggest the same for you.
