This morning will be my first commute to work since November. Only 5 miles, though, so should be OK. Then 2 miles to the station and 0.5 miles to the campsite on arrival. If that (plus the return) is the only mileage I do, I'll still be very happy.

Best of luck. And congratulations on a relatively fast recovery, considering how bad your smash was. Don't let what you must perceive as a slow recovery get you down - in my opinion (and compared to my experience) you're actually doing pretty well.
