  1. Ok, here we go. Yesterday I did a 66 mile race. I got slaughtered, i had no power and could not get my heart rate up. i'd been doing well for a few weeks but earlier in the week i noticed i had really no jump for some reason. i've been loosing weight, lost 20 lbs since March and am 5'11" at 175. feeling a little under the weather today too.

    any ideas anyone?

  2. Were you supposed to have more power?

When did your racing season begin?

How many races have you done so far?

That weight loss, was it done on purpose?

Is there a possibility that you might have lost some muscle mass?

  3. Well, I returned from Kuwait and Iraq in Dec and b/c of work did not get on the bike until Jan. I've raced 3x. Work had been a factor. Im a Cat III and definately should have had more power given all prior rides were showing major improvement. The weight loss was shedding of lbs. picked up weight lifting and eating like [censored] overseas.

I am thinking muscle mass loss may be an issue. Any ideas on countering it? Stil working on shedding another 15 lbs
