ears have to be adjusted from time to time, and especially after the bike is new, as the cables
stretch. You can get the bike shop to fix this, but it's better to learn yourself. Check out:
    sheldonbrown.comderailer adjustment.html

Actually, this raises the point that the FAQ should probably have some kind of universal pointer to
Sheldon's site. Maybe something along the lines of "if you have a question about how to adjust or
fix something, check out sheldonbrown.com before asking here because if he has anything about how to
fix or adjust it, six or seven people will point you to it as soon as you ask."

It's a just a minor inkling, but I think section 3.14 might need a bit of work.

Well, the obvious addition to 3.14 is 15927...

I think its perfect well 3.14 is anyway.

Hrm, did a search on "know it all [censored]" in this newsgroup on google, and only found one quote
... that one about a guy, too. Just as well ... I don't really need to read through yet another
    flame war.

Save yourselves the trouble, and just replace it with Section (355/113) (falls down on the 7th
    decimal, but who's counting?)

In fairness, you're all big and ugly enough to handle yourselves, and anyone who stoops to that
level has far bigger problems than an FAQ can sort out.

Don't you think that makes you sound weaker? Yes, it's a poke in the eye to a msyoginist pig, but
that point's probably better made in a direct reply.

1.2.1 need a comman after "don't top post"

You shouldn't put commas before an 'and'.

Still think the sentence is ambiguous ... it could just as easily be read "Don't top post and
don't learn to quote properly." Personally, I'd go for "Don't top post. Learn to quote properly."

I can't say that I see the ambiguity, but I changed it to 'Learn to quote properly and don't

Looking at it today, I think the ambiguity is extremely slight ... but thank you for the nod =)

I was extremely sick yesterday and am only somewhat sick today, so that may be the

Maybe somewhere in that section you should mention that people should keep their signatures to one line, maybe two.
Anything more than that is a waste of space, especially if none of it's original!

For me section 4.1 never worked....what did work however was a small application of electrical tape
around the bars to secure the grips ...Mike
