  1. I'm in Bozeman, MT right now and took a ride through downtown... was rising
    out of a driveway and ended up going off a curb to make a turn and when my
    front wheel hit the pavement, the screw holding the handlebars in position
    snapped in two... leading the handlebars still attached but flopping freely
    back and forth! Not very rideable.

    Fortunately, I was but 3 blocks away from a nice LBS and -- given that I was
    riding my Trek Navigator -- I was thankful that they were a Trek dealer and
    had the replacement parts right there. Back on the road in 5 minutes. I'm
    just glad I didn't go over the handlebars.

    Never heard of that happening before. Did they say why?
