Today was an ok day, eating wise. I don't work Fridays, so I will be
"offically" starting my new plan on Monday, when I'm on my regular
schedule. The plan is to weigh and log everything on Fitday and eat more
frequent, smaller meals, in order to avoid the ravenous hunger beasties
that visit at night.
I did the bad thing today of waiting too long for my first meal (got up at
11, didn't eat until 5) but I did ok anyway. I had a grilled chicken
breast, 5 brussells sprouts, about a half cup of broccoli, and a salad.
Then around 9pm I had three ham and cheese rollups.
Then, at midnight, I did the one "bad" thing today, I had some pistachios.
At least, I thought it was bad. But I counted how many I had, 33, and
Fitday says it was only 112 calories, 3g net carbs. So, it wasn't as bad
as I thought, though it still isn't good to eat just because I feel
snackish. I excused it because I had to take my antibiotic pill, and it
says "take with food." But that was the last pill so I can't use that
excuse any more, lol!
So, everything I ate today, including coffee, ended up being 1137 calories,
33g total carbs minus 11g fiber = 22g net carbs. I was estimating how much
butter was on the broccoli and sprouts, but it couldn't have been a whole
lot since they weren't dripping or anything. I also estimated how much
salad I had, but I remember when I used to measure it, that size bowl holds
about 2 cups, so I was probably pretty close. I may be in for a rude
awakening on Monday when I start weighing everything, but I could have
eaten 183 more calories than I estimated today and still have been at 8x
current body weight.
