Hybrid Bike

I've recently bought a bike from Edinburgh Bicycle Cooperative -
http://www.edinburgh-bicycle.co.uk/ - one of their own brand
'Revolution' bikes, and am very happy with it so far. I'm not an expert,
but a couple of my friends who know a lot about bikes told me it was a
very good bike for the price. I was also pleased with the speed it was
delivered, the fact delivery was free and it was ready to ride, and the
customer service. I've got the Courier bike, and it's noticeable lighter
and easier to get up hilly roads than my old mountain bike. I'd
certainly say they're worth having a look at.

Check out the websites to get an idea of what there is out there, but then
visit a few shops and take some test rides. Take your time and try as many
different kinds of bikes as you can. Don't just go around the block but go
at least a few miles on each, it is the only way to refine your ideas about
what you want. Get something the right size. At that price point you're
spoilt for choice, but don't forget to budget for lock, lights, rack and
panniers or equivalent etc. Check out the guides at
