    Hush Puppies

    1 1/2 cups white corn meal White Lily or Martha White, preferred 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
    (check date on can for freshness) 1 teaspoon table salt 1 small can milk (Carnation) 1 Tablespoons
    sugar - optional

    Dilute milk if necessary to make batter stiff enough to drop from teaspoon. Fry in fish deep grease.
    Add chopped sweet type onions if desired. This recipe makes light hush puppies that float.
