Hello everyone. I have been reading the group for a while, and was
wondering if any one could help me . I had a receipe for HUNZA BREAD,
and I can not find it. I know that it contained golden raisins and
that is about all i know. If any one could help i would appreciate it.
Thank you Jackie

I can't vouch for the recipe since I've never made it, but I found one
here: http://bread.allrecipes.com/az/HunzaBread.asp And there was a
boatload of other hits when I just googled "hunza bread". You might try
that if this isn't quite what you were looking for.BK

Wasn't Hunza bread the subject of a spam email some years ago?. I seem
to remember that people were selling the recipe and touting it as a
miracle food that would enable you to live far beyond the normal
lifespan. -
There was such a thing. I did some research. One kind of Hunza
(meaning raisin) bread had raisins such as this type. The other type
was supposedly a kind of bread (very different that was eaten by Hunzas
and you would lose weight). It appeared to be a kind of heavy flat
bread that if you ate it, it would be very nutricious and you would be
completely filled up and not hungry for hours. I did get the recipe.
I never got around to making either kind but it would be fun to hear if
anyone did!!!
