I managed to upload a .GPX file, but it looks like all I wound up with was a
bunch of waypoints.
My expectation was to have created some sort of meta object that encompassed all
of those waypoints as a "route", "hike", "trail" or something like that - and
which could be annotated at that level.
Anybody know what I'm doing wrong?

I think I doped it out myself. I had created the waypoint set in TopoFusion,
but neglected to define a "Track" in same. Once I defined a "Track", uploading
the file created a parent object encompassing the waypoints.
Now the question becomes: how do I get rid of the junk waypoints I uploaded
earlier.
Seems to me like that site plus TopoFusion has great potential - leveraging
TerraServer, USGSS, and individual rider/hiker's experience.
