  1. I race on an i-magic turbo in the i-magic league, and have noticed that my average HR is around 5 beats higher than when I TT on the road. Any idea why this is? Is it because I can 'take pace' from various opponents when I'm on the i-magic, so therefore try harder, or is it something to do with it being hotter in-doors?

You are correct, its due to the extra heat caused by being in doors. The body has to maintain a higher rate of circulation to the skin for greater heat loss, hence a higher HR. You should be using fans and cool rooms when training in doors.

Or, a hot, humid bathroom if you're training for the Atlanta Olympics ;-)
