my bike came new with these Alex MX18 rims http://www.alexrims.com/oe/Mx18.htm#

The interior width is 18mm, and the exterior width is 24mm.

The rim came paired new with Kenda 1.95" tires (49.5mm)... which, according to Georg Boeger's chart,
would be way out of match. (recommended 26mm-42mm) http://www.sheldonbrown.com/tire-sizing.htm

I currently have 1.35" (34mm) cyclocross tires on them, which looks like a good match. I want to buy
an additional pair of mountain tires for going on the trails. Would it be ill-advised to go back to
the stock 1.95" size, or even ~1.6"... which is still at the "extreme" of the chart

lastly, i guess if you can recommend a good pair of tires at the right size
(1.5" maybe?) for 25$ or less that would be great. thanks! :)

what size tires should i fit on these rims???
