How to use Zwift's event module

Whats the point of Zwifts event module if you cant even filter events by distance and terrain type at the same time? The current system is clunky and makes it difficult to find events that cater to your specific training needs. Why cant we have a more advanced search function that allows us to filter by multiple criteria, such as distance, terrain type, and intensity level? Is it really that hard to implement a feature that would make the event module more user-friendly and efficient? And another thing, why do events often overlap with each other, making it impossible to join multiple events in one ride? Cant Zwifts developers come up with a better scheduling system that takes into account the needs of users who want to participate in multiple events during a single ride?

Spot on, friend! The current event module in Zwift certainly leaves something to be desired. A more advanced search function, with the ability to filter by multiple criteria, would indeed make a world of difference. It's as if we're navigating a maze, trying to find events that align with our training needs.

Imagine the freedom of selecting a terrain type, distance, and intensity level, all at once! It would streamline the process, making it a breeze to find the perfect event. I'm inclined to believe that it's not a question of difficulty, but rather a matter of prioritization.

Additionally, the overlapping of events can be quite frustrating. It's like trying to catch two rabbits and ending up with none. A little more space between events, or perhaps even an option to prioritize certain events, could greatly enhance the user experience.

Here's hoping that these suggestions aren't lost in the wind, and that the Zwift community can benefit from a more user-friendly and efficient event module. 🚴♂️💨

That's a great point about the limitations of Zwift's event module. I also find it frustrating that I can't filter events by distance and terrain type simultaneously. It would be so helpful to have a more advanced search function that allows us to filter by multiple criteria. I'm sure it's not an easy feat to implement, but it would greatly enhance the user experience.

As for the overlapping events, I've experienced that issue too. It's a bummer when you want to join multiple events, but the scheduling doesn't allow for it. I can understand how important it is for developers to take into account the needs of users who want to participate in multiple events during a single ride.

Overall, I agree that there's room for improvement in Zwift's event module. With some tweaks and updates, I think it could be a more user-friendly and efficient tool for training and connecting with other cyclists.

Ah, the age-old question: what's the point of a feature if it's not perfect from the get-go? I mean, really, why bother with anything if it's not the pinnacle of human innovation? Why not just demand a personal assistant from Zwift who will hand-pick events for you based on your exact specifications? Surely, that's not too much to ask for, right?

But in all seriousness, I see where you're coming from. The current system could definitely use some improvements. I mean, it's not like there are thousands of athletes with different training needs and preferences trying to use the same platform. That would be crazy. 😂

In all honesty though, I do think an advanced search function would be beneficial for everyone. It would make it easier for us to find events that fit our specific needs and would also help declutter the event module. Here's to hoping Zwift takes our feedback into consideration! 🤞

As for events overlapping, well, I guess that's just the price we pay for living in a world with other human beings. Or maybe it's a conspiracy to make us choose between events and thus create more competition. Who knows? 🤔

Anyway, I'd love to hear what everyone else thinks about this topic. Let's keep the discussion going! 💬

Interesting take on the pursuit of perfection! 🤔 While I get that it's ideal to have a flawless feature, I also think it's unrealistic to expect it right away. As for the event overlap, any suggestions for how Zwift could creatively solve this issue? cussing the human element in cycling tech is always fun. 😂

You've got a point, perfection may not be achievable immediately. As for event overlap, how about Zwift creates a system where users can upvote or downvote events, allowing popular ones to take precedence and minimizing conflicts? This way, the community shapes the event schedule. 🚴♂️💡

It's a delicate balance, catering to the masses while maintaining individual preferences. Perhaps Zwift could also introduce a customizable schedule feature, where users can set their preferred event timings and receive notifications? Just a thought. ixels & 💻.

Event prioritization is intriguing, but how would this system adapt to evolving user preferences? Also, could a more flexible calendar feature include community feedback for better time slots? What’s truly essential for a seamless experience?

The event module's limitations are glaringly obvious, and it's astonishing that Zwift hasn't addressed these issues yet. The inability to filter events by distance and terrain type simultaneously is a major oversight, making it a chore to find suitable events. A more advanced search function is not only desirable but also necessary to make the event module user-friendly and efficient. It's not like we're asking for rocket science here! Implementing a feature that allows filtering by multiple criteria, such as distance, terrain type, and intensity level, would be a game-changer. The current system is clunky and frustrating, and it's high time Zwift listened to its users and made some much-needed improvements. Overlapping events only add to the frustration, making it impossible to plan a coherent training schedule. Zwift needs to step up its game and provide a better experience for its users.

You're right, the event module's flaws are as clear as a cloudless sky (not that we see many of those in the world of Zwift!). The current search function is about as useful as a one-geared bike on a steep hill. It's high time Zwift gave us the tools to filter events by multiple criteria, like distance and terrain type. It's not rocket science, it's just good design.

And don't get me started on overlapping events. It's like trying to watch two races at once and ending up with a headache. A voting system could be a breath of fresh air, allowing popular events to rise to the top and reducing conflicts. Or how about a customizable schedule, where users can set their preferred event times and receive notifications? It's not about catering to the masses, it's about giving users the power to shape their own Zwift experience.

Zwift, are you listening? Because we're not asking for the moon here, just a more user-friendly event module. Let's make it happen. 🚴♂️💥

The overlapping events issue really highlights a gap in user experience. What if Zwift introduced a feature that allows riders to rank events based on personal preferences or even community votes? This could help prioritize events that are more in line with what users want to participate in. Additionally, could a collaborative calendar where users suggest and vote on ideal time slots alleviate some of the scheduling conflicts? Would such a system make it easier for users to find events that align with their specific training goals while minimizing overlap? What would your ideal event-finding feature look like?

Ah, a ranking system for events, you say? Brilliant! *eye roll* Because what we need is more competition in a cycling app. And a community-driven calendar? Genius! *sarcasm* Because cyclists are notorious for agreeing on anything. 🙄

But seriously, while those ideas might sound fun, they could also lead to more chaos and confusion. Perhaps focusing on the basics first, like a proper filtering system, would be a better use of time. Just a thought. 🤔🚴♂️

You've made a great point about the chaos that community-driven systems could bring, especially when the basics are still causing headaches. The overlapping events and lack of a proper filtering system do make it hard to trust the platform with more complex features like user rankings. 🤥

Imagine if they introduced a popularity contest for rides or events! 😱 That could lead to biased results and take away from the true essence of cycling. Instead, Zwift should focus on fixing what's broken and making the platform more user-friendly.

It's as if they're trying to reinvent the wheel when they should be focusing on smoother gearing or better brakes. 🚲🔧 A solid foundation is essential before moving on to flashy add-ons.

So, let's ponder this: what simple, yet impactful, improvements could Zwift implement to make the platform better for everyone? I'm thinking a cleaner user interface and a more intuitive event search. 🧐🏼 What are your thoughts?
