I have a wide range of synthetic and herb pills that are used to reduce the amount of junk in our blood vessels.
The drug manufacturers have very clear guidelines as to how these pills should be taken, usually daily! The pharmacist who sold me these pills suggests the best way to take these pills is whenever I 'feel like it' in the morning after breakfast. That is to say, take these pills irregularly so that taking pills does not become a way of life everyday.

Does this make sense to anyone?

Not a lot to me. If they do no good, it does not matter when you take them. If they do some good I would think you would want to try to keep a somewhat uniform level in the body. Also, some are better taken with food to prevent upset stomach. Finally, just to remember to take them you want to fall in a pattern.
Get a small palm computer and program it with your pill routine, so that it will give a beep whenever a pill is due. Program it also to require acknowledge from you when a pill is NOT taken. Some fancy wristwatches may do this too.
