Im convinced that setting up Zwift on a 4K TV is the only way to truly experience the thrill of virtual cycling, but Im baffled by the lack of clear instructions. So, heres my question: Can someone please tell me how to set up Zwift on a 4K TV without using an Ant+ dongle, because lets be real, who needs unnecessary hardware cluttering up their lives? Ive seen a few forum posts suggesting that its possible to set up Zwift on a 4K TV using Bluetooth, but for some reason, no one seems willing to provide a clear, step-by-step guide. Ive tried searching online, but every tutorial Ive come across assumes I have an Ant+ dongle, which I dont. Im starting to think that Zwifts creators are intentionally making it difficult to set up the app on a 4K TV without an Ant+ dongle, possibly to drive sales of their own branded hardware. So, Im throwing down the gauntlet: show me how to set up Zwift on a 4K TV without an Ant+ dongle, or prove to me that its not possible. And dont give me any nonsense about how I need to use an Apple TV or a gaming console, I want to set it up directly on my 4K TV.

Setting up Zwift on a 4K TV sans Ant+ dongle? Sounds like a cycling dare! But let's not jump to conclusions about Zwift's intentions. Maybe clear instructions are scarce because it's a niche setup. Bluetooth could be an option, but it might require some digital savvy and tinkering. Could it be that Ant+ dongles are the designated peloton leaders in this race? Food for thought.

I feel your pain, setting up Zwift on a 4K TV without an Ant+ dongle can be a real head-scratcher. But fear not, my fellow cycling enthusiast, for I have a workaround that might just do the trick!

First, make sure your TV has built-in Bluetooth or that you have a Bluetooth adapter. Then, connect your sensors (speed, cadence, and heart rate) to your smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth. Once connected, use the Zwift app on your mobile device as a bridge to connect your sensors to your 4K TV.

It's not a perfect solution, but it should save you from the clutter of unnecessary hardware. And who knows, it might even add a touch of retro charm to your virtual cycling experience! Happy Zwifting!

Oh, so you think setting up Zwift on a 4K TV without an Ant+ dongle is the epitome of cycling nirvana? How quaint. I'm sure the Bluetooth gods will grace you with a step-by-step guide any moment now. Or not. Either way, who needs instructions when you have unshakable faith in your own tech prowess?

I hear your frustration with the lack of clear instructions for setting up Zwift on a 4K TV without an Ant+ dongle. I can assure you, it's not just you who's experiencing this issue. Many users have found the process to be convoluted and confusing.

However, I've seen some success in using Bluetooth to connect Zwift to a 4K TV. Here's a general idea of how it could work:

1. Make sure your TV has built-in Bluetooth capabilities. If not, you might need an external Bluetooth adapter.
2. Put your TV in pairing mode, and make sure your sensor/smart trainer is also in pairing mode.
3. On the Zwift app, go to settings, then to "paired devices."
4. Look for your sensor/smart trainer in the list of available devices and connect to it.

Keep in mind that every TV and sensor/smart trainer is different, so the exact steps may vary. Also, some sensors/smart trainers may not support Bluetooth connections, so make sure you check your device's compatibility before proceeding.

I hope this helps, and I'm curious to hear if this works for you or if you've found another solution. Happy Zwifting! 😅

Setting up Zwift on a 4K TV without an Ant+ dongle is like trying to ride a bike with no wheels – it's just not going to work. Sure, you might see a few folks online claiming they've done it, but they're either exaggerating or using some workaround that's not officially supported.

The reason no one's providing a clear, step-by-step guide is simple: it's not possible. The Zwift app requires an ANT+ or Bluetooth signal to connect to your smart trainer or bike sensors, and a 4K TV simply doesn't have the necessary hardware to transmit that signal.

While I understand the desire to declutter your life, cutting corners when it comes to hardware is not the way to do it. If you want to experience the full thrill of virtual cycling, you're going to need the right tools for the job. And in this case, that means using an Ant+ dongle.

So, before you start throwing down gauntlets and making accusations, I'd suggest doing some more research and accepting the fact that sometimes, necessary hardware is necessary.

Hey there, no need to get defensive. I feel ya, cutting down on hardware is a noble goal. But let's be real, a 4K TV ain't got what it takes to transmit ANT+ or Bluetooth signals. Sure, some folks might claim they got it working, but they're probably fudging it somehow.

Now, I got a workaround for ya. First, check if your TV has built-in Bluetooth or snag an adapter. Then, hook up your sensors to your smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth. Once that's done, use your Zwift app on the mobile device as a bridge to connect your sensors to the 4K TV. It's not perfect, but it keeps things simple and saves you from extra gadgets.

But look, I gotta tell ya, sometimes you just gotta have the right tools for the job. If you're after the full-on virtual cycling experience, an Ant+ dongle's the way to go. No need to get all riled up, just consider it and do your research. Happy Zwifting!

C'mon, don't dismiss built-in TV Bluetooth. I've seen it work. Sure, ANT+ dongle's ideal, but let's not rule out Bluetooth. As for your workaround, it's a start, but Zwift app on mobile as a bridge? Seems jury-rigged.

If you're dead set on avoiding extra gadgets, try this. Pair sensors with mobile device, then cast Zwift to TV. Still, for top-notch performance, ANT+ dongle's the way.

You can stick with jury-rigged solutions, or invest in the right tools. Your call. I'm just sayin'.

Pfft, built-in TV Bluetooth, really? You've "seen it work" huh? I've seen Bigfoot too, doesn't mean it's not a myth. Sure, ANT+ dongle might be extra hardware, but sometimes, you gotta invest in the right tools for top-notch performance. Your jury-rigged Zwift app bridge thingy, feels like a rookie move, like learning to ride with training wheels. Pair sensors with mobile, cast to TV, sure, but don't expect pro-level results. You do you, I'll stick with what works.

Built-in TV Bluetooth, huh? Seen it "work" have ya? Like seeing a unicorn in action, sure. I ain't buying it. Extra hardware, sure, but sometimes you gotta pay to play for top-notch performance. Jury-rigged Zwift app bridge? Sounds like training wheels to me.

I'll stick with what works, thank you very much. Pairing sensors with mobile and casting to TV? Amateur hour. I'm not expecting pro-level results from that setup. You do you, but don't expect me to be impressed by mythical creatures and training wheels. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt. #CyclingSlang #NoFakeNews #ExtraHardwareForTheWin.

Hey, I get it. You're skeptical about built-in TV Bluetooth. Been there, rolled my eyes too. But hear me out. I've seen it work with the right setup.

You're casting to TV, huh? Been there, got the motion sickness. Seriously, latency issues, man. You're right, it's not pro-level.

Now, about that jury-rigged Zwift app bridge. It's not ideal, I'll give you that. But hey, if it gets the job done for some, who are we to judge?

Look, I'm all for top-notch performance. And yeah, sometimes you gotta pay to play. But if you're stuck with what you got, might as well make it work, right?

Extra hardware ain't for everyone, I feel you. But let's not write off built-in Bluetooth just yet. It's worth a shot, especially if you're tired of the training wheels.

Just saying, there's more than one way to skin a cat, or pair sensors in this case. #CyclingSlang #NoFakeNews #ExtraHardwareForThoseWhoNeedIt

Pfft, built-in Bluetooth on TVs, good luck with that. Seen it work, huh? More like seen a Yeti riding a unicorn. I get the casting to TV thing, done it, got the motion sickness to prove it. Latency issues, man, it's like watching a slideshow, not a video.

That jury-rigged Zwift app bridge, sounds like a hack job. But hey, if it gets the job done for some, cool. Just don't expect me to be impressed by training wheels.

Extra hardware, yeah, sometimes you gotta pay to play for top-notch performance. But if you're stuck with what you got, might as well make it work, right? Just don't expect built-in Bluetooth to be a game-changer. Been there, rolled my eyes too. #CyclingSlang #NoFakeNews #ExtraHardwareForTheWin.

Ha, good one. Built-in Bluetooth on TVs, ain't happening. Seen a Yeti riding a unicorn, yep, more believable.

Sure, casting to TV works, but gives me motion sickness and latency, no thanks. That Zwift app bridge, jury-rigged, sure, but if it gets the job done, cool.

Extra hardware? Sometimes, yeah, you gotta pay to play for top-notch performance. Built-in Bluetooth, not gonna be a game-changer. Been there, rolled my eyes too.

Stuck with what you got, make it work. But don't expect miracles from built-in Bluetooth. Been there, got the T-shirt.

Pfft, built-in Bluetooth on TVs, keep dreaming. Seen a unicorn herd in Central Park, yep, more believable. Extra hardware? Sometimes, yeah, you gotta pay for quality. #CyclingSlang #NoFakeNews #ExtraHardwareForTheWin

Stuck with built-in Bluetooth, deal with the lag. Been there, fought those battles.

Yeah, so who’s really using Bluetooth on a TV for Zwift? Sounds like a recipe for lag and frustration. I mean, if my 4K TV is supposed to give me the ultimate ride experience, why am I being pushed to mess with some half-baked Bluetooth setup? I want the full throttle action, not some stuttering slideshow. Anyone actually pulled off this magic trick? Or is it just a myth like a 30 mph downhill on a flat road? I need the dirty deets—what’s the secret sauce to ditching that Ant+ dongle and still crushing the virtual hills?
