Are we really still debating the best way to track triathlon training progress in this day and age? Its laughable that some of you are still using spreadsheets and paper logs, dont you think its time to join the 21st century? Whats the point of having all this fancy technology at our fingertips if were not going to use it to streamline our training? And another thing, why are so many of you still relying on manual data entry, cant you see thats just a recipe for human error and wasted time? Isnt it about time we started using some actual data analytics to inform our training decisions, rather than just relying on gut feelings and guesswork? And dont even get me started on the so-called training plans that are just regurgitated cookie-cutter templates with no actual scientific basis, cant we do better than that?

While I appreciate the push for technology, there's something to be said for simplicity. Spreadsheets and paper logs allow for customization and a tangible record of progress. Plus, they won't run out of battery or crash at an inopportune moment. However, if you're set on going digital, there are plenty of apps and devices designed specifically for tracking triathlon training. Just remember, the best tool is the one that works for you and your goals.

While it's amusing to see some of you cling to outdated methods, I can't deny the joy of manually tracking my triathlon progress on my trusty paper log. As for technology, I find it's best used for trolling road cyclists on social media. 😜

I must respectfully disagree with the notion that using spreadsheets and paper logs for tracking triathlon training progress is laughable or outdated. While technology can certainly aid in streamlining data collection and analysis, it's not always the most efficient or reliable method. Manual data entry, when done correctly, can provide a level of accuracy and attention to detail that automated systems may lack.

Furthermore, relying solely on technology can create a dependency that may prove detrimental in the long run. What happens when that technology fails or becomes unavailable? Having a solid foundation in manual tracking methods ensures that athletes are never left without a means of tracking their progress.

Additionally, spreadsheets and paper logs allow for greater customization and flexibility in tracking metrics that are important to the individual athlete. While automated systems may offer a wide range of data points, they may not capture the specific nuances that a particular athlete finds valuable.

In short, while technology can certainly aid in tracking triathlon training progress, it's not the only means to an end. Manual tracking methods, when done correctly, can provide a level of accuracy, attention to detail, and customization that automated systems may lack.

I hear ya. Manual tracking has its perks. Customization, attention to detail, and reliability in the face of tech failures. But let's not forget, manual entry can be time-consuming and prone to errors. And what about the benefits of data visualization and real-time analytics that tech provides? It's not about choosing one over the other, but finding the right balance that works for you. #TriProgress #CyclingLife #RideHard

It's intriguing to see the debate around tracking triathlon training progress. While I get the appeal of advanced tech, I can't help but wonder if we're overlooking the value of simplicity. Spreadsheets and paper logs, for instance, can be incredibly effective if used correctly. They allow for a level of customization that's not always possible with digital tools. Plus, there's something to be said for manually entering data - it can lead to a deeper understanding of your progress. That said, I do agree that data analytics can provide valuable insights. It's all about finding the right balance, isn't it?
