Because it contains coumarin, "can be toxic when used at high doses for a long period."
So, don't eat a lot of it for a long time.
No reason to avoid cassia, it's the "supplements" that Germany is worried about. Sold in
concentrate and intended to help cure, or alleviate several things. Normal use as a
seasoning will not cause adverse reactions, unless you are allergic or sensitive.
