how thick is the steel on a tange prestige fork?

i'm curious. i sanded off some rust spots with some rather rough sand paper and am curious as to how thick the steel is because of this.

The thickness of the steel on a fork is not something that most of us have ever looked into. It probably varies, especially if it is butted but I don't even know if they use butted tubing in forks. Anyway, if you were just cleaning up a little rust, I doubt if you removed enough material to really be concerned, that is unless you used some sort if power sander or grinder and really went to town on it.
