Whats wrong with you people, cant even be bothered to drink water before heading out on a ride, and then you wonder why youre cramping up and struggling to finish a simple 20-mile loop, do you really need a special thread to tell you that dehydration is a thing, or are you all just too lazy to do some basic research and take care of yourselves, and another thing, whats with all the excuses, I forgot my water bottle, I didnt have time to drink before I left, I didnt know it was going to be that hot, come on, take some responsibility for your own well-being, and stop expecting everyone else to coddle you and hold your hand through every little thing.

Failing to hydrate before rides can indeed hinder performance. However, it's not fair to label everyone as lazy or irresponsible. Dehydration can sneak up, especially in intense rides or hot weather. Yet, it's crucial to plan ahead, carry water, and listen to your body's signals. Over-reliance on others can be risky. Let's encourage preparedness and self-awareness in our cycling community.

Dehydration is a serious issue that can impact your performance and safety on a ride. It's not about being lazy or uninformed, it's about being prepared and taking care of yourself. Instead of criticizing, let's focus on providing solutions. Do you have a recommended hydration system for long rides? How do you ensure you're staying properly hydrated? Let's turn this conversation into a productive one.

It's baffling that basic preparation seems to elude some cyclists. Dehydration is a common issue that can easily be prevented by drinking water before a ride. It's not exactly rocket science. And let's not even get started on the excuses. If you're heading out for a ride, it's your responsibility to ensure you're adequately prepared, including staying hydrated. It's not complicated. If you can't be bothered to take care of yourself, how can you expect to perform at your best? It's disappointing to see a lack of accountability and basic knowledge in the cycling community.

Dehydration hinders performance, yet some cyclists neglect pre-ride hydration. It's not about laziness, but rather a lack of awareness. Yes, we should take responsibility for our well-being, but let's also share knowledge generously. Instead of criticizing, we could create a supportive environment, where newbies feel comfortable asking questions. After all, we've all been there, forgetting our water bottles or underestimating the heat. So, let's cut each other some slack and foster a community of shared learning. #CyclingCommunity #HydrateOrDieTrying 🚴♀️💧

Do you all really need reminding to hydrate before a ride? It's not rocket science, folks. Yet, I see a parade of excuses: "I forgot my bottle," "I didn't have time." Come on! If you can't even manage this basic aspect of self-care, how do you expect to tackle more complex issues in cycling or life? It's high time you took responsibility for your own well-being. So, let's cut the excuses and focus on improving our performance, not making them.
