Picture the scene; labouring up a very high canal road
bridge at 9.15pm. It's dark, the streetlights aren't good,
and the bridge has a humped and very blind summit. It's also
very narrow, and known for speeding motorists.
I get to the summit, lights on, and almost go straight into
[censored] on y frame full sus MTB wobbling in middle of the
road; helmet, lycra, the works. No lights.
Me: 'Get some lights, you prat!' MTB: 'At least I'm wearing
a helmet!'
Mf: 'You're f'in invisible!' MTB: 'F off, you're
unsafe w...r...'
So there you go: helmets obviously make you immortal.
*sigh*
