    Today, with my mountain bike (26" wheels + 1.5" tyres), I completed a 40 mile course in 2 hrs 10 mins at a speed of 18.5 mph.

    The course is varied in places but generally quite flat.

    Can someone give me an idea of how good this is - also bearing in mind I have to stop at the occasional traffic lights.
