Furthermore, does the efficacy of Zone 2 training on lactate clearance vary depending on the duration and frequency of these efforts, as well as the individual athletes fitness level and training background? For example, would an athlete who consistently trains at high volumes in Zone 2 experience greater improvements in lactate clearance compared to an athlete who trains at lower volumes but with more intense interval sessions?
