  1. How do these riders race 200 miles a day at an average speed of around 30 miles an hour??

  2. remember.......most of that 200 miles is spent riding in the vacuum of the peloton..which is much easier than riding 200 miles alone. This is why a flock of geese can fly so far so fast..they draft each other while flying.

  4. The important things is that they do neither.

The average speed is 25.38 mph and the average distance over the length of the tour is 92.39 miles including rest days.
