How do I adjust the suspension lockout on my ebike without having to resort to consulting the ancient ritual of the owners manual, which Im sure is a thrilling page-turner that I just cant get enough of. I mean, who doesnt love deciphering poorly written instructions and low-quality diagrams, only to still have no idea what theyre doing.
Ive tried twisting knobs, flipping switches, and even bribing the suspension with offers of expensive lube and a full tune-up, but nothing seems to work. Ive also attempted to consult the collective wisdom of the internet, but all Ive managed to find are vague instructions and anecdotal advice from self-proclaimed experts who probably dont even know the first thing about suspension systems.
Look, Im not asking for a miracle here, I just want to be able to lock out the suspension so I can ride my ebike on the pavement without feeling like Im on a bucking bronco. Is that too much to ask? Do I really need to be a rocket scientist to figure this out?
And while were on the subject, whats the point of having a suspension lockout feature if its not user-friendly? Did the designers of these ebikes assume that everyone who buys one is a seasoned mechanic with a PhD in suspension systems? Newsflash: most people who buy ebikes are just regular folks who want to ride around without having to worry about complicated technical stuff.
So, can someone please, for the love of all things cycling, explain to me in simple terms how to adjust the suspension lockout on my ebike? And if you cant do that, then maybe you should just stick to riding a unicycle and leave the ebike riding to the grown-ups.
