He has said that he wants to win grand Tours, so I seriously doubt that he found this result
favorable. He can't enjoy being in 174th position. I feel that if indeed this is a "strategy," which
I don't believe, it's one that was forced on him by his current limitations. He would love to have
been in the hunt with the rest of the big guns, as he's not a bad climber (despite recent evidence
to the contrary).
