  1. I've often thought that a diet consisting of military
rations would be a fairly healthy diet, since I assume that
the military chooses the contents of rations on a purely
practical basis to provide energy and proper nutrition. Is
this true? What kind of nutritional content do standard
military rations have today? How many calories per meal?
    What kinds of foods?

  2. They are very balanced. The pentagone spends millions on
researching and designing this. The only question is
balanced to what goal and one might assume the current macro
ratios and vit/min guidelines as published by other
    government agencies.
