Hors Categorie is known not passable to vehicle. But I have ridden many routes that is classified as HC but is passable to cars and even buses. So why still classified as HC. In my opinion, if its not passable to to vehicles, I’d reckon we can’t even ride up. Any advise?
Terminology definition can change over the years. That definition is old and from a by gone era. Hors category is a climb beyond category 1 or beyond category. Basically a very difficult climb by todays definition. Vehicles and cycling have evolved.

Who says Hors Categorie is not passable to vehicles? Hors categorie climbs are just climbs that are the longest, steepest, and/or highest (or some combination of all three) climbs in cycling
