It's very good; nice and sheltered from the wind due to the trees and it's
mainly all gravel once you get out of Hull, although I haven't been down
there this year so it could be rather wet in places. All the bridges have
been restored. Here is a photo story of the ride.

No problem at all for a touring bike with decent tyres. I have even
ridden my road bike fitted with open Vitoria CX's down there in the
summer. The section between Hull and Skirlaugh uses the original track
bed and is a bit broken in places. Most of the rest has been relaid
incorporating resin into the ash. Imagine rather dirty 30 year old
tarmac and you are close! There a few muddly puddles after all the
recent rain where the track is overhung with trees but otherwise it
was fine on Wednesday when I last used it.

Don't forget to visit the cafe on Hornsea Mere. CTC listed and cycling
friendly!
