I don't get it. Hope mini's are an open system so they should be self
adjusting. Keep bleeding when pads wear should not be necessary.

Could it be due to a leak on the system, then? I've checked and there's no
obvious sign of fluid leakage.

If you don't see any fluid leakage this is not likely. Maybe there is some
air in the system, but I assume that you bleeded the system.
To be honest I have not much practical experience with Hope mini.....yet.
Tomorrow my LBS is installing one on my singlespeed as the only brake (no
rear brake; to much weight ;-)).
