Again, only slightly germaine to this NG, but there are smart people here who may have run across this.
I've been googling this supplement and am having trouble separating the authoritative from the hocus-pocus.
Apparently a "South-African Plant Which Curbs Hunger".
Anyone had experience with it?

I recall a Dateline piece showed Hoodia worked pretty well in suppressing appetite. However it is a slow-growing, South African desert plant. Only one south African medical house claims to figure out how to cultivate it and holds the patent. So the bottom line was that virtually all of Hoodia in America is fake. There is no regulation of supplement quality or effectiveness in the US unless the supplement causes harm.

Hoodia. It works quite well, in my experience. (I use the bulk powder from 1fast400, others report good results with capsules from NOW.)
