  1. Homemade Curry Powder

    4 Tbsp Tumeric
    1 tsp ground red pepper
    1 tsp each spice
    Cinnamon*
    Cardamom*
    Cumin
    Ginger
    Fenugreek seed*
    Allspice*
1/4 tsp Bay leaf ( ground)
    1/2 tsp celery seed
    1/8 tsp cloves*
1 tsp garlic powder ( optional)

I usually use whole spices and grind them in a food mill myself here , but
you can use pre ground spices , and the ones marked with an asterick ( *)
I usually toast in a dry frying pan before grinding . Now mind you there
are many many curry recipes out therethis is just a variation of one off
the top of my head, and there are many other spices used in some curries
as well such as black cardamom and black cumin, both of which will lend a
smokey note in fragrance and flavor. As for the garlic ...well I dont add
it , I just use fresh in the recipe, also onion powder can be used as well
.. play with the recipe amounts and see if you can find the blend more well
    suited for your tastebuds.

    Good eats!!!!
