I am in the process of turning a girls 26inch mtn bike into a swb oss bike. The one thing i have
left to do is weld the boom and the bb to the steering tube and am not sure if i should use a one 2
inch pipe or 2 smaller pipes that attach to the bottom bracket. which way would have less movement
during hard pedaling? joel

go with the 2 inch pipe, much easier to extend/shorten one boom than to play with 2 pipes.

I've done the 2 pipe design before and it works. Your head tube though has to be long enoug so the
2 tubes can merge back to it. On mine, the frist tube comes from head tube to bottom bracket. The
other comes from head tube going to the the derailleur post at the end - both tubes parallel to
each other.Hope this helps
