  1. This stuff is pretty interesting. I found it from a Diabetes
Health email-- not sure if it was part of an ad or an
article. In any case, I plunked down the $$$ for two pairs
of socks, extra large for my father in law who has CHF and
is in hospice care and his feet are cold and have fluid in
them all the time, and medium for my daughter with diabetes
who periodically complains about her feet. When my daughter
was out of town my father in law tried his. According to my
mother in law, when he wears the socks he no longer has to
have a blanket over his feet. It is hard to tell if the
socks are doing anything for the fluid-- nothing dramatic,
but he loves the way the socks feel. In the daytime he wears
those elastic socks, and at night the Holofiber socks.

Then when my daughter (type 1 diabetes for 20 years) got
back home, she acted literally amazed by the socks. She got
a really odd look on her face and said that her feet felt
completely normal, and she does not remember them feeling
that way. So she wears them every night now.

They are kind of pricey at about twenty to twenty two
bucks apiece. Still, I just ordered some more things, T
shirt for my daughter and sheet liner and extra pairs of
socks. They haven't come yet. Now the socks I ordered were
over 80% Holofiber. Some socks are cheaper that only have
    20% in them.

Now, I have NO CONNECTION to these socks or the fiber or
anything. In the NY Times article linked to the Holofiber
page, the guy would not tell what was in the socks but an
enterprising friend of mine found the patent.

Here is the Holofiber web page

I realize that all this sounds like mumbo jumbo, but I am
glad I took the plunge and ordered the socks.
